Ganesh, The Lord of Obstacles
Ganesh also known as Ganapati, he is one of the best-known and most worshipped Hindu God. The son of Shiva and Parvati and he is recognizable by his elephant’s head. He is the remover of obstacles who brings success, but he is also the God of beginnings.
The Mantra
Om gum Ganapatayei namaha is a Sanskrit mantra that is typically translated as “salutations to the remover of obstacles”. It is one of many mantras chanted to the Hindu Ganesh. Chant the Om Gam Ganapataye Namaha mantra 108 times. ( it only takes 10 min ) This mantra to Ganesh can be chanted silently or aloud.
The pronunciation:
Om = ohm or aum
Gam = Somewhere between “gahm” and “gum”.
